Give a return time I imagine, so you wait same time as everyone, just not in the line.

I'm sure I read it was EMH only for deluxe resorts. Please correct me if I have that wrong

I haven't read that anywhere official. I read people speculating about it.

Nowhere in the announcements does it say that. They hint that is that they may have EMH on different days for selected resorts which would reduce the rush from all the resorts on the dame day. Some on here just jumped the gun and said oh they will only allow deluxe resort guests in, but that was definitely not what was said. To me it would make sense to do that to have separate EMH for groups of resorts at a time. However no one is certain for sure. They just say details will be posted on the website at a later date.

As mentioned above, there’s nothing in Disney’s announcement that EMH will only be for deluxe resorts.

Some people were getting confused by Disney’s wording which said “select Disney hotels”. But that’s the standard wording that Disney always uses for EMH.

You won’t be better off without a FP. You will always get on faster with a fastpass. You will wait longer if a ride doesn’t have a fastpass queue but only a standby queue.

That’s because the fastpass system limits the number of people in any time period. The only way a standby-only attraction could be as quick is if they limited the number of people into the standby queue.

Surely the only reason they aren’t offering fp is because they are going to have to restructure the tiers and it would make more sense to wait until both rides are open?

I don’t think there’s anymore to it

We are going to queue, we always waste time watching shows at HS that we have seen numerous times. We’ve decided we’re going to skip most and use our time queueing

Quite.

I don't either. I have never heard of this black market in FPs that is for sure.

I agree the Fastpass system manages the times throughout the day that people turn up for the ride as well to ensure it is evened out as opposed to everyone turning up and queuing at 10am in which case the queue would be horrendous! The fast pass will split say 100 people over 4 hours (examples on folks) as opposed to all 100 trying to queue at the beginning. Which helps manage demand throughout the day.

So I suppose in a way they have already been waiting as they wait for the time to come up the fastpass just allows them to do other things while they wait like a virtual queue.

Having been going to Disney a long time and recently did the old system at Disneyland Paris, we found the WDW way of fastpass ultimately a much better system so I'm all for it.

Yes this is what I believe, I haven't read anything so far that indicates it will be for a delux hotel only.

We may try the EMH just after it opens on a long shot to get in the millennium falcon ride. My kids are 4 and 7 so they probably wouldn't be able to last in a really long queue. Will have to see how it goes. that's providing we get entry at that time.
