Lots of stuff closing at Epcot

Big news! Disney has just announced that lots of things are closing at Epcot later this year. The attractions closing include:

Electric Umbrella
Epcot Character Spot
Baymax character meet
Fountain of Nations
Mouse Gear
Club Cool
Innoventions East (including the Colortopia exhibit)
Fountain View Starbucks
Art of Disney shop
Pin Central
...and more!

Most will close on or around September 8th 2019. Electric Umbrella and MouseGear will close sometime in the winter.

Some of the attractions - Starbucks, Art of Disney, MouseGear, character meets, and a couple of others - will move to other locations (some of which will be temporary locations). The rest are closing to make way for big changes coming to Epcot as the central hub of Future World is being reimagined.

Expect more details to be announced at the upcoming D23 Expo at Anaheim, California in August.

Yes same. I knew there were plans for Starbucks and club cool but hadn't realised how much would be closing. With spaceship earth due a long refurb Epcot will become a difficult park as happened with HS when they closed a lot.

It all need levelling and redoing.
Suspect DVC Lounge and Figment will not last much longer than those. And the Living Seas will probably go as well.

I doubt Living Seas will be going anywhere. Same goes for the Land, Mission Space and Test Track. They appear in Disney’s concept art for the new vision of Epcot.

Plus, it’ll be difficult to find new homes for all the aquatic animals in the Living Seas.

ETA: Disney themselves have also confirmed that “The Land and The Seas with Nemo & Friends are planned to be with us into the future”:

D23 will make for an interesting reveal - there is so much in Epcot being closed this summer they must have big plans afoot.
O'Canada is closing early August
The Liberty Inn in USA pavilion is also closing for an upgrade.

Looks like it will never be the same again - especially with Illuminations ending too

Also love Art of Disney store as they usually have different items that can’t seem to pick up elsewhere

Sounds like the front of Epcot is going to be pretty much a building site.
