I have just seen a thread about mash on Christmas lunch too. The world has gone crazy.
We will be having mash on our Christmas lunch tomorrow ( as well as roasties and ‘ yorkshireds ‘ as our DS calls them ).

Am guessing that with our syrup pancakes for brunch makes us a bit crazy 😜

No I don't think pancakes are crazy. I have never had them on Christmas Day but some years I do home made waffles. This year I am doing my staple of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

We are having mashed potatoes tonight, with beef cheeks cooked in red wine sauce. We like something rustic looking on Christmas Eve.

I’m doing my first ever Christmas dinner and yes we are having them. However my brother who loves them at any other time says there’s no place for them at the Christmas dinner table so I’ll have to make sure he doesn’t try and sneak one on his plate 🤪

Mmmm. Problem I know.
Bit like a referendum. I think if you ask the people you should stick to the answer.

His reason was no space in the oven because the turkey was so big.

To be fair he was having to cook the roasties and the p-i-b and stuffing , parsnips, and whatnots in shifts as it was, so he may have had a point.

Will have them for tea filled with leftovers instead.
