American tourister cabin case

Hi, I’ve got a set of American Tourister disney luggage and looking to add a cabin case to it.
I’ve seen the AT Disney legends 55cm case which looks good but dimension wise it’s ok except 4cm too wide for Virgin.
Has anyone got one of these and used on Virgin ok?

You'll probably get it through check-in ok (most typically just eye-ball the cases if at all), however if it's too big for the overhead lockers and you do take it on, be prepared for it to be offloaded and put into the hold. If they do measure at check-in you may have to pay as an extra case to take it in the hold.

Problem is, the more people take oversized hand luggage and get through to the plane (even if just slightly over), it just exacerbates the issue for the rest as cases are put in side-ways rather than end first which takes up more space and allows less cases to be stored.

I’d not thought about them going in end first. We usually take a soft bag and backpack so wasnt sure what to expect with a cabin case as never used one before.
Seen a Tripp one that’s in the measurements so might get that.

Also bear in mind that you may well use any cabin bag that you buy for journeys on other airlines whose dimensions can be a lot less - so the Tripp one might be a very good idea. I am sure I have read other threads where Dibb members have said they own one and are happy with them.

We have 2 tripp cases, an antler and a lulu guiness and they all fit ok (usually take 3 of those plus a ruck-sack). Can usually fit 2 cases side by side in an overhead locker

Overhead lockers can vary by plane as well, some are very deep and narrow, whereas others wider but shallow.

We have American Tourister Disney cases, I took one of the cabin bags with us when we went to NYC with Virgin in Nov 18 and it fit in the overhead locker no problem.
