Mobile Impact of ESTA denial

Hi,
EU citizen here. I was denied an ESTA due to business travel to one of the restricted countries. Applied and got the 10-year visa so that’s sorted. Being a chronic worrier, now I’m just stressed if the denial I have on the system will impact other future travels. For example if I apply for an eTA to Canada, do I have to declare my ESTA denial in one of the eligibility questions and will that negatively impact the result?
Can anyone confirm that they successfully managed to smoothly travel to Canada, Australia and other countries after having a denied ESTA?
Tried contacting the CBP to ask if they can sort out ESTA denial flag in the system but they didn’t quite understand the question. Appreciate the help.

Disclaimer : never trust information on a public formal - or at least do some further research.

Now that's out of the way...

The ETA (for example) asks if you have ever been denied a visa or refused entry to a country.

You haven't - you did not qualify for an ESTA which is a "visa waiver" many people don't qualify for many reasons.

Unless you've been turned down for a "proper" visa or turned back at the immigration gate you should be safe to say "no" to any question of that type.

You weren't denied a visa, you just didn't qualify for a visa waiver.

You can apply for your visas before you book travel if you are worried.

If you got a 10 year Visa then nothing to worry about, you obviously passed the Visa tests. If you were denied the Visa, then thats a different story. Having a full Visa should make you feel more relaxed as you have been vetted more thoroughly.

If you lied on the ESTA trust me, you would NOT have a visa now. You did the right thing, answered the ESTA questions truthfully and after finding out you were not eligible you applied for a Visa. You followed the rules, all ok.
