Halifax (part of the same group as Lloyds) said exactly the same thing to me. I went to the Ombudsman who took less than a week to decide in my favour and ordered them to pay me the additional cost of replacement flights. Incredulous that now they have been told what they are telling customers is incorrect by the ombudsman they are still refusing claims! Not withstanding, go to the ombudsman, you will win.

Go to the Financial Ombudsman, the form is online so easy to do and send through. If you have been told the information by phone or letter then just write what you were told and how.

This response from them is strange, it is a section 75 claim so I thought nothing to do with any T&C with TC. Get the form sent off online to Financial Ombudsman, they will then decide what more information they need.
