Is Cafe Mickey on DDP anymore?
Hiya all, we haven’t been to DLP for several years and are booking for this summer
We are going to stay in NPB and so qualify for the free DDP+. I had heard that a few things on the DDP have changed since we last visited, so have just been doing a little research and noticed that Cafe Mickey doesn’t seem to be on the DDP list of restaurants. I hope I’m just looking in the wrong place. Has it been removed? If so how much is it to have lunch or dinner there nowadays? I’ll be gutted if it’s no longer available, there’s a few newbies joining the group this time and I’ve already recommended it as a great opportunity for character meets I’ve also noticed that there’s no mention of the Teatime Snack that used to be available on DDP...has this been removed also? TIA |

According to this page - disneylandparis/en-g...es/meal-plans/ Cafe Mickey is available with the premium meal plan. However, you can use the standard or the plus meal plan as part payment towards it and pay the difference.
They stopped the Pause Gourmande tea time treat in 2018 I think. You can still buy set snack deals from some counter service locations but you no longer get the vouchers included in your meal plan. I have read that you can get free drinks from the vending machines in some hotels with your magic pass but I don’t have any personal experience of this. Edited at 10:57 PM. |

Go to Inventions instead, much better choice of food and value for money.

I’m guessing if you had the Pause Gourmande, then your last trip must have been before / close to our first trip in 2016. (I’m pretty sure we didn’t get the Pause Gourmande when we went back in 2017.)
If so, then the menu etc will have changed a fair bit at Cafe Mickey too. We had the breakfast buffet there in 2016 and it was great, but have never been tempted to return for the new menu, especially at the new prices. (They even took the characters away for a while, but they’re back now.) For a similar price (you can pay with DDP plus level credits and top up), I’d much rather go to Inventions. Great character interaction, often coming round multiple times and interacting with each other around the tables, a lovely setting with views over the park, and a great selection of food.

I did both Inventions and Cafe Mickey in November and have to say Cafe Mickey was excellent and was a much better experience both for food, service and characters - I was very well looked after. Inventions was busy and felt very rushed.I had the premium dining plan though so no out of pocket expenses.

Thank you for your advice fellow dibbers, you’ve been really helpful 😊
We’ve eaten in Inventions quite times too and enjoy the interaction with characters, though when we visited between Christmas and new year in 2016, I did find it was more rushed and not as premium as it used to be. The first time we ate there (2013), there were white cotton tablecloths and a very relaxed atmosphere. My favourite time was when we had a late hotel arrival on our first night (19/12/2014 stayed DLH). I reserved a table looking out towards the castle and we could watch the evening show...magical. We had breakfast there every morning during that visit too, which was nice. We’ve been to Cafe Mickey’s during 2 visits and although not as premium as Inventions, I like it for the different characters. We found we’d get a better chance to see the old skool gang (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy etc.) in Cafe Mickeys, whereas inventions is better for Chip n Dale, Hook and the newer characters. Is it still the same? Is the menu really different in Cafe Mickey since the changes? We liked it as a relaxed burger / pizza type place. Hope they haven’t tried to make it all fancy I’ll check out the vending machines too, thank you for the tip about them 😚. We loved the Pause Gourmande, such a shame they took that away 🙁.
