I booked in May for October 2018. I emailed them a few weeks back and was told I wouldn't be able to link until 200 days before.
I've rung them today and without even taking my booking reference or accommodation details they told me it is impossible to link to MDE more than a year out!

I told them I know this isn't true as I knew lots of people have. She then asked me for the email of someone who has linked it more than year out so she could report it to their IT department. It's like banging your head against a brick wall:angry:

I was 73 days out and couldn't link I had to telephone. Honestly the woman on the phone... i thought i was speaking to Snow White she sounded so much like her!

I couldn't get mine to link either and when I called up, I was told it was because it was more than a year out too. Will try again in December I think...

Just keep trying and keep nagging. This 1 year out business is rubbish. It's 499 days unless you're in SSR or OKW.

I've linked. After virgin telling me it was 365 days, 432 days and 445 days. And it's a good job I have because that's how I've found out they've overbooked and we've been moved to a cheaper resort. But that's another matter.

Keep trying, because you may not know there is an issue until you get onto MDE.

Disney fixed it for us last night and apparently "virgin have been notified". But virgin had no intention of sorting it out as Disney managed it in 72 minutes. And Virgin couldn't get back to me in a week.

We managed to link ours this morning, booked April 2017 direct with Disney. Animal Kingdom Lodge Nov/Dec 2018. I used the 18 number
