June Weather..?
We're half looking at a week in a villa and a week at the beach for the end of June, beginning of July, next year. Don't intend doing Disney or Universal (!), so not worried about crowds. Just wondering what the weather will be like? June is apparently the third wettest month and the beginning of the hurricane season, but what's the reality like..? We're trying to convince beach loving friends to come with us, but if it lashes rain for two weeks, they won't be impressed..! Is it rain / thunderstorms each afternoon or could it be torrential downpours all day? We went for two weeks in May about 8 years ago and it rained non stop for two weeks..! For info, we've been in April, May, September, October and November, but never during the summer months.
Thanks in advance! |

We went this exact time this year.
It's hot, starts around 23C up to early 30s by 3-4pm. Mid-late afternoon you can expect thunderstorms but these are often fairly localised. For example you could be in MK and it be pouring for an hour and in AK it's glorious sunshine. Do expect it to rain at some point near/on you most days though. Also there's lots of lightning so not always the best weather to be out on a beach. |

We were there at this time this year. Had quite a lot of heavy rain some evenings, which went on for longer than the usual quick downpour, lasting a few hours. Very hot in the daytime, but again with showers. We enjoyed it but agreed, due to the weather, it wouldn't be our favourite time of year to be in Florida

We always go to the coast in June . We have had several years where we have had hardly any rain for the whole 2 weeks. Coastal areas don't seem to have the afternoon storms as experienced around Disney. This year was the wettest we have ever known but that was v unusual weather after 6 weeks of no rain. Temperatures just right - feels fresher near the coast than further inland

It's hot and June isn't too terrible for rain. Even though it's the beginning of hurricane season, we don't see much of a threat until August or September, if any threat at all. I don't think you'll have any problems.

June was our least fav month, in Orlando heavy down pours, stickly heat, heavy crowds etc personally we well never consider going in June again.

We have been going in June for nearly 20 years and even now could not say exactly what the weather will be like. We go for 4 weeks and have times when there has not been a cloud in the sky for 4 weeks and on the other hand we have had rain, thunderstorms or just a mixed bag. It's a matter of i'm here and having a great time no matter what the weather is like.
