There has been horror stories about the second bag drop for years. We had some good experiences with it over the years that we used it when the kids were small, you have got to accept that its going to take time. Your luggage is never going to be there before you and if there is lightning then yes, there will be a wait until it the weather goes through.

We'll have to see when we get there. If we have to use it we do. I've tweeted them to ask about lifts for a double buggy

They have replied to my tweet and have said seek out someone in a gold shirt who will assist anyone with a stroller to get to the monorail level. They didn't say how they would assist whether they help carry it up or they take you to the lift but they said assistance would be available whilst the lift was out of action.

Ah good to know you've got it confirmed and have a heads up before arriving!

Thank you for that info; I'm sorry I missed the post! That's good to know though. I totally agree about security. It's a right faff isn't it?

It's definitely the most stressful part! Worst bit is the tutting from other passengers when you're piling everything out your bag!

We used ME once when we also hired a car. Wife and DD (with all the luggage) went on ME and I just drove over with the car.

Worked quite well for us.

I'd probably never see my husband again! Ha! I'm chief navigator!

Why is it so difficult to take your suitcases up the escalators onto the monorail? If adults take 2 cases each, would that not work?
