You need to get him account as you will both be able to earn miles then.

I have 16500, can I boost last year’s trip to Mco and also our February trip too? And with these extra points what would be the best way to use them? Many thanks

You can only go back 6 months, so no to last year but yes to February. In order to do this you will have to phone FC.

We went November last year so that would work for being in the six month bracket, so I could boost that trip. Then I’m going again in February so I could boost that trip too. So potentially I could have 52000 ish miles and this would be enough to upgrade from a purchased PE flight to UC is that right ?

No you are a month out. Even if you went the last week of November then 6 months would bring you to the last week of May.

How did you do it for free? I can’t get my head around this

It’s not free. I paid £246.90 each for 24690 miles (3 times the miles for both our outbound and inbound flights in September). Because of the 40% boost we got 9876 bonus miles each. That’s the “free” part.

Thanks for the explanation.

So if I got the miles for my flight and I phone up FC and say I want to boost they charge me to buy miles and I get a 40% bonus?

Do you then use them towards your next flight or do you use it to pay off some of your existing flight?

No you can’t use them for an existing flight, ours is booked direct with Virgin so already had to pay it. Plus you don’t actually get the miles until after your flight. But yes, you pay for the miles you want and get some free depending on how many you boost.
If it’s for a flight you haven’t taken yet you can do it on website. Not sure if you booked via Virgin Holidays though.
