Photopass still worth it?
We’re off to DLP soon and noticed that Photopass has increased by nearly £20 since our last visit there. Has anyone been this year and found more official photograph opportunities? Otherwise the price increase now seems to just cover the rides it’s available on, so doesn’t seem good value anymore (six rides now at just over £10 a photo if done once, assuming they’re all open anyway) Thoughts?

We were there last weekend and didn’t see a single roaming a photopass photographer - castle shots and Main Street all have to be selfies or asking another guest. We also seem to be too slow getting off rides to get the ride photos or we are blind as bats and can’t see ours on the screen.
But we had lovely photopass shots at the character meets in studios, though a CM also took pictures on my own camera. I didn’t even ask, I just put it down with my coat for the photo and they picked it and snapped away. So... basically I’ve just paid for a year of photopass so I hate to say it’s not necessary, but last weekend... it really wasn’t. |

They have occasionally trialled a castle photographer but it is very rare. The photographers are only for a handful of rides and some of the character meets.
For me, unless you are staying maybe 5 days and doing a lot of meets - it’s not worth the money.

I would say that it isn't worth the money. I have never seen a photographer by the castle and it's probably more cost effective now to buy the ride photos if you want them ( and you can actually see yourself because nobody has their hands in front of your face - but that's another story).

Does Anaheim have many photographers? DLP has s very much on the Disneyland Model as opposed to WDW

Anaheim has plenty around - in front of the castle and other popular rides, lands and landmarks. Plus it only costs $15 per day!
Disneyland Paris definitely is not worth it unless you think photos on your own camera aren’t good enough quality or you’re desperate for ride photos. |

Anaheim has lots, pretty much somewhere in every land across both parks, and usually really quite fun photographers in a good mood. I went with a group of 21 in January and thought we’d be a nightmare for Photopass but they were awesome with us, and yep, just $15 for a day of pictures as long as you pay it on the day.

Thanks all. That’s what I’m thinking too. It just doesn’t seem worth it anymore.
