A nice Pinot Grigio

BIL 60th next week, looking for a nice Pinot for him, I see plenty of them in Aldi , Morrisons etc, but wondering if there is a vast difference in them. I am a tee-total, so have no clue.

Thanks

You aren't going to get a really nive Pinot Grigio in Aldi or Morrisons; however there are some really good drinkable versions in those stores.

If you want a recommendation for a decent wine to drink chilled, I am perfectly happy with this one from Aldi. So long as well-chilled, and I am a wine snob

I like Yellow Tail but I'm sure some posher Dibbers will be along with better suggestions soon.

Yellow Tail is pretty decent, as I said above the Aldi one is perfectly enjoyable as a drinking Pinot G.

Personally the Pinot G I drink most is from a small Hungarian Vinyard that the local wineshop in town imports. It's amazing, and half the price of worse wines (but still a tenner a bottle)

I like the Barefoot one, not very posh here I’m afraid! 😉

I like this from the CoOp

New Zealand rather than Italy . I find some PGs to be quite bland - this one has more flavour.

Brancott Estate Pinot Grigio is one of my favourites.
It’s very rarely on offer 😢

Ned Pinot Grigio is excellent.

About £10 a bottle, I’ve only ever got it from Majestic Wine or Sainsbury’s but sure others will have it.

Yes look for wines labelled Pinot Gris as well, it’s the same grape variety.
I really enjoy NZ Pinot gris wines
