When our kids were little and we needed a double stroller, we took a cheap 2nd hand side-by-side folder with us as we had a massive Phil&Teds thing at the time. I think it ended up in the bin when we got back.

I wouldn't take a pushchair that you actually care about as they get ruined in 2 weeks at the park with all the sunblock, sticky stuff, pop etc etc.

The rented one was used every single day for 5 weeks, it was worth it to not have a cheap one as my daughter took plenty naps in it and this one was so pleasant to push and collapse. It definitely looked a little worse for wear at the end of our trip - but it was not a problem with the rental company. I knew if I bought one, it'd never get used at home anyway (since we have a good quality one for home), so renting was perfect. We picked it up at MCO just before picking up our rental car.
Another vote for Kingdom Strollers. Will give the little one a comfortable space to have a nap during the day and allows you to carry all sorts if gear. Not the cheapest but money well spent. Used them twice when the GS was 4 and 5.
