Its a well known thing-the older you get the more the fluid in your inner ear thickens and you become less amenable to the forces a roller coaster subjects you too.

Im only in my 30s and i havent been on the Hulk in about 5 years since i felt like i was about to black out on it.

The Hulk I’m not so bad on but Rock n Roller Coaster makes me feel like my heads about to roll off my neck. I’m in my 20s.

When we first went to Orlando in 1993 I went on a fair number of rides. Son was 7 so couldn't (or wouldn't ride many fast upside down ones). Hubby couldn't ride and still doesn't as he comes off green. We did Back to the Future for the first time then. My Mum was 66 and tried it! Poor Mum was distinctly unwell as was hubby. Son and I loved it. However now I'm nearly the age my Mum was then I just can't ride anything fast and spinning anymore sadly. Not worth it when you come off feeling unwell. My favourite ride is Tower of Terror but unsure how I would feel going on it as it has been a few years since I tried it.

My DH and I have definitely found this to be the case too. We both would have gone on any coaster without a qualm but now there are some of the biggies that we sit out and our 3 teens & twenties kids love! We still would go on most of the 'normal' coasters like The Mummy, Everest etc but even Kraken last time was too much for me last time. Mako didn't agree with me either!

I felt like that on Kraken at SeaWorld when we went in 2018, our heads were pounding after for a good 15/20 minutes.

Last time I went Kraken was 2002 when I was 20.

Hulk was & still is one of my favourite costers in Orlando, can't wait to hit it again... fingers & toes crossed!

Every time now I'm one and done on Hulk and Rip Ride Rocket. I feel shaken to the core after but i'm still determined to get at least 1 ride in every trip (to prove to myself i'm not old haha). I loved Make when I went on that in 2016 and will be going to SW for the first time since in 2022 so will be interesting to see how I feel after that!

I find Rock n Roller coaster shakes my head up so much that it actually frightens me - I don’t feel sick, I just literally feel scared that something strange is going on inside my head - so I often back out of going on it these days - it’s for that reason I haven’t yet tried The Hulk or Rip Ride Rocket - has anyone else had the same feeling on RnR? Does it also happen on The Hulk and RRR? If so, I think I’ll have to accept I won’t be trying them.

I don’t have any underlying conditions that I know of, but it’s such a funny sensation when I get off that I always worry that something horrible is going to happen to me! Paranoid I realise! 😂

63 now, last couple of times felt ill if I rode any big coaster twice quickly in succession. Definitely now try to keep off jerkier rides, do not like Space Mountain anymore.

I also get a horrible shaky head in Rock n Roller Coaster, feels like my brains rattling around my skull 😂

Hulk is a bit smoother but it’s still a bit rattly. I found it easier to keep my head still.

Rip Ride Rockit has always been fine for me though. There’s a few bits which are a bit shaky but not too much, definitely nowhere near on RnR’s level!

Absolutely.

The first time we went to Florida, I could do any coaster with no issues at all.

That's evolved gradually over time.
Now, before we go on a big coaster day (Busch Gardens, Seaworld), I'll take travel sickness medication.

Cheetah's Hunt, Sheikra, and Tigris are no problem. Kumba makes me queasy, and I won't even try Cobra's Curse.

At SeaWorld, Manta's fine, Kraken is right on the edge, but Mako is brilliant and gives no hint of queasiness whatsoever,

As AdmiralJack says above, it's all down to the inner ear fluid thickening with age (DW calls it the "Phil Effect," because it was the subject of an episode on Modern Family, where Phil discovered that the rides he loved when he was younger now made him throw up). Ones where it's whooshing and acceleration/speed do differently to ones where there's rotational g-force (I won't even try Mission Space Red at EPCOT; that made me really queasy in 2006!), and smoother rides tend to be better than racketty ones.

You are not alone; many of us are in the same boat.
