Occasionally you'll encounter someone like the ibd guy unfortunately. Pffthht to him. Forget the other 399 - your son is your priority.
What if you crept away like a little mouse and then discovered (heaven forbid !) that they'd prescribed the wrong drug or Mason developed a side effect that they hadn't warned you to watch for? Things are all over the place right now but you still deserve their best attention even if you have to annoy them to get it. |

I think I would have politely told him that your priority is your poorly child and getting the correct information rather than a leaflet shoved in an envelope with no covering note! Ignore his attitude, busy or not he should have a degree of empathy when dealing with worried parents or he is in the wrong job.
It must be the day for telling offs as dd went for her lateral flow test this morning and got told she was ridiculous for having a slightly different name on her email address to her Christian name. How rude!😂 I personally would have pulled the lady up about it but she got back in the car and ranted about to me instead.🤣 |

Your priority is quite rightly Mason, how rude of the IBD guy. I know at the moment your brain must be on overload. Can you get an appt with the consultant to at least get some information about the next step and next few weeks. Try not to be too alarmed at the drugs. They will attempt to manage him with minimal drugs.
Could you contact your local hospital paediatric dept where they would asminister the Infliximab? There will be a specialist nurse who will be able to talk you through all this. I still cannot understand why they havent given you a point of contact, definetly PALS may be able to help. X
