getting back to Cabana Bay Resort
Two years ago we stayed at Cabana Bay Resort and on some evenings when the parks closed found ourselves at the back of longish queues for the bus ride back.
Last year we stayed at Sapphire Falls and had the luxury of jumping on the boat back to the hotel, which never seemed quite as crowded. This year, we are back at Cabana Bay and I thought we could get the boat back to Sapphire Falls at the end of a day in the parks and then walk over to Cabana Bay. Does anyone know if this is a viable (maybe time saving) option ? Cheers

Hi,
Yes you can, the walk from Cabana Bay to City Walk is cvalled the Garden Walk and is sign posted. We are staying in the Cabana Bay in a few weeks time and plan to walk to Saphire Falls and get the boat most mornings. I believe there is a viseo of the walk on youtube. |

Hi we just had 3 nights at CB it was brilliant. We walked to the parks every day and City Walk at night, its only about 20 mins and comes out at Margaritaville!😃 no queues for bag check either. Its a lovely walk also especially at night. There is of course a shuttle bus but not sure how long that takes.

Using the boat to any of the resorts is ok you do not need to be staying there.
We did the boat to Sapphire Falls a couple of times then walked across the road to the Cabana Bay. But this year I noticed they are using big coaches rather than the little old coaches to the Cabana Bay and they seemed to have extra buses so they could cope with the crowds in the morning and evening so you tended to get on a bus immediately and only waited for it to fill-up few mins. |

We did the walk from SF to Citywalk last year when we didn't catch the boat. Will probably do a mixture of the two this year, then stroll over to CBR

Last august, they used the big Cabana Bay coaches. Only once (late, very late) did we get the small white shuttles
But there was still a long line to board the buses back to CBBR they were even building 2 lines, one for those who wanted to have a seat (and wait for the next bus) then after Aug. 20ish it was very less busy, and never waited more than 10 minutes to board a bus. they were sending 4 or 5 at the same time. We never took the boat back to SF, because bascially it didn't come to our mind ... well I'll make a note for this year. When you're at SF, you can either take the garden walk, but it's a waste of time. The only benefit is to cut a few minutes of walking, but at that rate you might as well walk from Citywalk (path to RPR, and on to CBBR) The fastest way is to exit SF lobby, walk down to the main road (adventure way) and cross there to CBBR. But there is no crosswalk, so be extra very careful, road gets busy, and at night people pay less attention. Edited at 11:38 AM. |
