Real tickets or e tickets?

Some sellers make much of the "real" tickets they supply. Disney's site offers electronic tickets or real tickets at an extra charge.
How do these work - do you get a real ticket the first time you put in a code - otherwise how does fastpass work with an e-ticket.
Is it worth the extra to get a real ticket?
Thanks.

You can either get real tickets or vouchers. real tickets work in the gates at the parks. Vouchers have to be exchanged at the first park you visit for real tickets. We always go for real tickets, although the queues for changing vouchers i dont think are very long.

ps. none of that has any impact on a fastpass. you just need a real ticket to get your fastpass.

When you stay on property and are issued with the RFID bracelet it will do everything - room door, purchase charges, DDP, tickey entry, Fps etc etc. No tickets will be involved.

To exchange an e-ticket or voucher with Disney is easy - their customer service is spot on and the queues weren't long at all. However Universal customer service leaves a lot to be desired! It took us well over half an hour in the blazing sunshine to exchange our voucher there and would choose to buy proper tickets for US/IOA in future.
