Tolls from MCO to Disney Via 417
I'm just back from a work trip and I want to make sure I have enough change for the tolls. I seem to remember going through 2 tolls on the 417 but I cannot remember how much they are.

I use the Beachline so I can't help you.
Mick will spot this soon and he knows. Bear in mind you can give up to a $20 bill and they give change.

This toll calculator is useful cfxway/for-travelers/#
If you join the 417 from the south exit at Boggy creek road you can exit at World Drive exit 6 and the toll would be $3 or you can use exit 3 onto Osceola Parkway (our preferred route) and the toll would be $3.75, or if you want to enter the World through Maingate exit 2 at Celebration, also $3.75. |

Haven't thought of this at all
1st time visitor and have hired a car, arrive at MCO and villa is located at champions gate down the I4 I will then be going to all the usual attractions, is there lots of tolls? Is there any passes you can purchase to go straight through or are they not worth it? thanks in advance |

Thanks Tom. Been exploring the delights of Tesco so only just seen this. Time for Google Streetview screenshots again
If you leave MCO by the south 417 exit you travel on a newish link road which splits after a couple of miles to 417 south and 417 north. Take the south and very soon you'll see this plaza. Keep right and give them no more than a $20 bill and ask for change. Not sure where you leave for WDW but we always leave at j2 for Celebration Avenue onto the US192. If you leave here you will need quarters to throw in the basket. 75 cents in March. Mick

Welcome to the DIBB
This is not boasting honestly but we've visited Orlando around 35 times and I've probably driven 40,000 miles over there. Upon landing at MCO after a 9 hour flight I would always still use the 417 which is a toll but possibly 20% of the traffic you'll hit on the I-4. I do use I-4 when we're there but only when it makes sense to get from A to B. You can get to most of the attractions toll free using a combination of I-4 and US192. Please don't stress about tolls though - have a look at my earlier post In any event your car will be ANPR enabled so that you can use Sunpass lanes - but that's a whole new debate. To get to Championsgate I would stay on 417 south until it merges with I-4 and come off at j58. I-4 does get a bit quieter down there. Alternatively to avoid I-4 completely on your first day come off 417 at j2, travel west on US192 until it meets US27 and go south to Championsgate. Google maps is your friend. Mick

We were there in May and used the 417 South from MCO and came off at Jnc 6 for Disney World /International Drive (although we then head for the 192 via the SR535).
We had two tolls, both of which were $1.50 each. |

I always use the 417 as I just prefer the lack of traffic compared to I4 when I first arrive. Well worth the $3.75 in tolls. I am exiting at exit 3 for Osceola Parkway and cutting through WDW because I just cant resist

That's the exact same route we'll be taking, I prefer the 417 to I4 especially if we have been waiting at immigration for a couple of hours to get through.
