Have you read the DIBB guide to driving in Florida recently updated by my esteemed Dibb friend Mr Morrow with a small input from me?

Mick
As promised.

This is the sign at the end of US192 where you need to keep right for US27 north.

And here's the crossover left to do a U turn to go south on US27 into Highgrove. Conversely as I suggest carry on a bit and enter Cagan Crossings to turn at traffic lights.

Squeeeee! Thank you so much Mick. You are a first class gentleman and top Dibber! That's amazing.

I have indeed read the guide and will be revisiting it several times before I travel as well as having a lesson in an automatic car. Can't be too prepared, eh?

Thank you for your kind words. Makes it worthwhile to know our help is appreciated.

Apart from driving a lot in the USA I'm also lucky enough to have owned automatic cars here for about 15 years. Main thing to remember is to stick your left foot under the seat and leave it there.

Just to complete the set here's the Four Way at Cagan Crossings. Walmart to the right ahead and Lowes to the left just in case you fancy doing a bit of plastering and rewiring whilst you're in the villa

Useful photos- wish I had these when I stayed 2 years ago. I was really worried about it but found it fine and it was my first time driving in U.S., automatic etc. If you miss it you can always turn later so no problems. Just remember to drive at your pace and not everyone else's

Just to add you will love High Grove, we stayed there last November in a Dibb Villa which was fantastic. The photos & advice above is spot on & you'll find it really easy doing the U turns.

Hi
These are the last few steps we give our guests
I would go to the 1st set of traffic lights to do the U-turn until you are comfortable moving over the lanes as you come off the 192.
You will love driving over there

5) Continue on the 192 (for about 8 miles) until you see a large sign that has SR 27 NORTH on it (this sign is over the road). Once you have gone under the second sign veer to the Right onto SR 27 North.
6) Once you are on SR 27 you will need to move over to the left ready to do a U turn at the 1st set of traffic lights (this is legal). If you miss it travel on to the next set of lights and do a u-turn.
7) Then travel South for about 200 metres and High Grove is on your right

Another big thank you to Lisbon for those really clear instructions. I'm feeling much more confident about navigating to the villa now.

Now for automatic driving lessons! Devon road users beware.

Loved seeing these photos - makes me excited that it won't be long until we are driving up that road
