Alamo Sunpass

You can download your Toll Statement @www.htallc.com all you need is your RA no.
Not sure if people are aware that on top of the Toll charge which ours ranged from $1.00 and $2.50 there is also a Toll Pass Convenience Fee of $3.95 per toll usage day, with a max of $19.75 per rental.
Taken just under 2 weeks for charge to appear on credit card.

Hi. This is one of the better deals compared to Hertz and also Dollar.

Hertz used to be the same as Alamo with a cap but now it's a daily charge each tme tolls are used and no cap at all.

Tom, just to clarify, with hertz, is the daily charge only applied for the days when tolls are used or for all days once the sun pass has been used? So if you used a non toll on day some days, but paid cash on other days do you only pay daily charge for those days when sun pass used. I thought if you used the sun pass once, you paid the daily charge for all days of your rental?

Hi. It's charged per day when the SunPass lane is used. pay cash and you avoid the fee so it doesn't keep rolling.

$4.95 fee for each calendar day when tolls are incurred plus tolls (at posted cash/TOLL-BY-PLATE rates). There is no maximum PlatePass convenience fee.

There is a lot of confusion about these fees as they all have very slightly different wording
Hertz = calender day. So hit a toll at 23.55 you get charged. Then at 00.10 and you get charged again
Alamo = usage day so hit a toll at 13.00 you can keep hitting tolls up to 12.59 the next day for one fee
Avis = rental day so the same as Hertz. But of course the charges keep rolling if you use it repeatedly but max out at $19.75
Dollar = Expensive! But opt in to the all inclusive tolling and hit them hard repeatedly and it can be cheap.

Aah, that's not so bad then, I had envisaged $4.95 x 15 days, so if I take care and only use sun pass when no alternative, it shouldn't be too much then. Thanks for clarification.
