I might be inclined to contact PayPal, because this guy has sent you the tickets via Special Delivery and, as such, he has proof that you received them.

I hope I am wrong, but it sounds suspicious - check his feedback and see what he's been selling & contact Ebay or PayPal before returning the tickets. If you do return them, send them via Special Delivery.

Hopefully it turns out okay
Yep we have a dispute going through with paypal but in the slight hope they are ok I would like to keep them, I suspect his grandaughter has asked if she can have them to travel later in the year so he is trying to get them back... will be worth it once we get there!

Just get the refund and buy tickets the legitimate way.

He has proof that he bought these tickets and has copies of them so at any time in the future he can contact Disney and void them as lost or stolen.
The first you will know is when you arrive at the gate and can't get in.

It's a long way to go to find if the tickets will work or not, disney won't honour tickets bought through ebay.
Tickets may be cancelled and replaced after being reported lost or stolen by the original buyer.

I hope all sorts out for you and you get your money back without hastle.

I wish we had never bought them now, fingers crossed he will refund in the next day or 2 so we can get genuine tickets that we know will work!

This is excellent advice.

If it is prohibited to re-sell the tickets on Ebay (which I assume it is), you haven't a leg to stand on and you could lose everything.

We lost our Seaworld/Aquatica tickets last October, but we had the receipt with the barcodes on - they typed the barcodes into the machine at the turnstile and let us in.

Please be careful

Fake / Cancelled Disney Tickets

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of turning up at the disney gates to find out their tickets are not valid?

We bought ours on ebay... shouldnt have done i know but we have learnt the hard way. The guy has refused to give us a refund because he has told ebay the tickets are valid and has proof of postage but has told us that he has had the tickets cancelled and obtained new ones from disney?

Have reported the matter to disney but not had a reply yet so wondered if anyone could offer some advice before I make an expensive call to disney to chase it up!

Awww... you poor guys... we sold our unused new 1 day passes left over from our last trip from Free Dining (US)...

Such a shame that there are dishonest people out there.

I'm a bit lost - are the tickets fake/cancelled? Do you know this for certain? Or has the guy sold them to you and turned around and said he's cancelled them after the sale? Disney tickets are non transferrable so you might find that Disney wont want to do anything in terms of giving you new tickets.

Well they are from what we know void tickets, he said that he wanted them back and when we said he sold them fair and square he said that he had spoken with disney and had the tickets cancelled... its been ongoing a couple of weeks including him giving us a fake refund (he cancelled the transaction)
