Alamo's fuel charge is comparable to the local rate but if you bring back empty without prepayment there is an extra charge.
The insurance is fine although if you go to the desk they will try and sell you "enhanced" roadside assistance. All this covers is lost keys, underbody damage, windscreen and tyre damage caused by you. I have never taken it in 25 visits.

Didn't get charged a cent for this.
