BA query

Hi

We are looking to book in August next year and gathering prices, does anyone know why British Airways is coming up so much cheaper than TUI and Virgin? I’m not complaining but as I have never looked at BA before i wondered if there is something I don’t know, as the price is cheaper than TUI by over £1000.
Thanks in advance

BA are regularly cheaper for us than either VA or Tui but never as much as £1,000 though.

I can't usually check Tui as being a chartered operator they don't always fly when we go. We did however check all three for our April 2021 flights. For two PE tickets the approximate prices were BA £1,800, VA were £2,400 and Tui £2,500.

We've flown plenty of times with VA but more recently four or five with BA and absolutely nothing wrong with them.

One word of caution though. You have to pay to reserve PE seats with BA (around £40 each seat each way) - included in VA prices.

Without knowing routes , dates etc I can't comment on specifics but it may be that the TUI flights you are looking at are already busy/direct from regional airports which attract a premium etc. There is a similar thread by sophsters started yesterday too:-

For at least my last 5 visits I haven’t found anywhere cheaper than BA.
