Dining Plans 2021

Hi Dibbers,

Does anyone know if the dining plans for next year are available to book yet? If so, how to you go about booking them and would you recommend the dining plans ?

Thanks

No all dining plans have been pulled from sale. There’s no word yet on whether they’ll be back.

There are no dining plans available at all at the moment. They have been discontinued until Sept. '21.

I have a qsdp for December 2021, Disney were selling them still themselves when other TA's such as Virgin had them pulled.

April not wanting to burst your bubble (sorry) but it was posted on here that they were retrospectively removing all Dining plans even those that have just been bought- Not sure if that is definitely the case though

I also have a prepaid QSDP for next September, which is showing on my MDE still. I understand that it might be removed but they would obviously have to refund me so will that towards food anyway. My opinion for what it's worth is that they will hold off and let things develop before cancelling those already booked. Everything is dependent on what happens as we go forward. Certainly they may decide to remove them at some point, but equally they could decide that they can safely reinstate them, and so those of us with them will keep them. Either way I will be fine with it

From Disney Food Blog...

NOTE: This DOES NOT MEAN that Disney will not have dining reservations or Disney Dining Plans in 2021, as far as we know. It only means that they’re clearing out their current bookings so that they can release a new system to accommodate the lower capacity that the parks, restaurants, and hotels will be servicing.

It wouldn’t make very good business sense to not offer paid for dinning plan. For a family of 4 it’s over 3k paid up front for food. Why would they turn that kind of money down? I can see free dinning not happening but be surprised if paid dinning wasn’t an option in the future.

Not had anything from Ever After saying this is the case. My holiday is 1 1/2 years away so hopefully it won't be pulled. If it does go i just want plenty of notice. As another poster said it would be madness for them not to have it. I understand why they have pulled it for this year with the reduced capacity. People still have to eat so they might as well re-introduce it.
