We are going to New York in May hopefully and have booked The Kixby which I believe was The Metro mentioned in other posts.

It’s a bit like London decide what kind of area you want , Times Square is like staying by Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus , iconic and mega busy . If you’d prefer somewhere like Mayfair or Kensington or Hoxton then Times Square may not be as good for you

Anyone staying at The Kixby - I can recommend the Playwirght Irish Pub a couple of doors away from the hotel for something to eat and a drink.

My last stay was in the Parker which was in what I consider to be a great location on 56th St between Central Park and Times Square - hyatt/en-US/hotel/ne...new-york/lgatp

It has a lovely swimming pool on a high floor with amazing views over the park, and, just off the lobby, a secret dirty burger joint - businessinsider/burg...7-10?r=US&IR=T

When (That’s me just putting it out in to the universe that we are going 😉 )we go next year, we are staying at the New York Hilton Midtown which seems to be near to quite a few places. We booked as a package through BA and it was the hotel they suggested. I don’t know what it’s like as I’ve never stayed there but trip advisor reviews are ok. I’ve stayed at the Westin in Times Square before and that was a nice hotel in a good location.

Marriott Marquis Times Sq was a great location for us, walked most places or grabbed a cab if going further. It was mega busy as Christmas but amazing!

The Knickerbocker on Times Square is gorgeous and has an amazing rooftop bar overlooking the Times Square Ball. It’s literally just steps from Bryant Park. We have also stayed at the RUI Times Square in a junior suite which was also lovely.

Love the intercontinental Barclay. Had a super offer on the Ba Hotels / partners links. Which was reduced again when added to my flight as part of the booking.
