Xmas 2019 Fried Breakfast with my mum in the morning then we all just snacked in the afternoon on gammon and other bits we fancied.

Think 2020 will be similar to last year as it's easier and we all enjoyed just eating what we wanted. Will probably see my mum and DH's parents at some point but will just be the 3 of us for food on the day.
Sounds perfect to me , mind I’m the one who does the cooking!

I'm not very good at cooking. Luckily DH is and does most of it throughout the year so this works well. I'll probably make a Pavlova at some point a few days before though and put cream and fruit on it on the day.

No starter here , never have.
We have turkey and a ham joint slow cooked in orange juice and honey .
Roast potatoes, sprouts, carrots , roast parsnips , pigs in blankets , Yorkshire pud, homemade chestnut stuffing .
Bread sauce , cranberry sauce and gravy with meat juices .
Pudding is usually a selection and then we have tea later in the evening and that’s cold cuts for sandwiches , sausage rolls , cold stuffing, mini sausages , salad and coleslaw etc..
will do this whether it’s the usual 12 of us or if it’s just the 4 of us .
Can’t wait 😋

We’re the same. Ours will be for 3 and there will just be leftovers!

We don’t bother with a starter.

Main:

Turkey Crown
Gammon
M&S Ricotta Stack (me)
Carrot & Turnip mash
Broccoli
Cauliflower Cheese
Sprouts
Cheesy Sprouts
Honey Roast Parsnip
Goose fat Roasties
Butter Roasties
Various stuffings
Pigs in Blankets
Veggie Pigs in Blankets
Gravy
Sauces
Yorkshire Pudding

Dessert (We usually leave this until much later):

Costco Mince Pies
Cheesecake (Cheesecake Factory/Costco)
Trifle
Another cake/pudding

We’ll be having this whether it’s just the 3 of us, or the usual multi household Christmas get together.

Me too! With a few crispy slices of pancetta and a poached egg 😋

I love Christmas dinner so there’s no way we’re forgoing the works!

We vary every year, depending on the family vote. This year it's Beef Wellington (M&S, so no faffing around), yorkshire pud, pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing, roast potatoes, Itailan baby boiled potatoes, carrots, broccoli, sprouts, honey roast parsnips and gravy. No fancy veg, as the kids won't eat it. Dessert will be Sherry trifle (MIL contribution), and one other chosen by the kids, who don't like trifle (usually Sticky Toffee Pudding from Bells of Lazonby)
