Humour, kindness or lack of it

Do you not think we all need to laugh about things more?
Try to be kinder?
To forgive?
None of us are perfect.
People take offence to the slightest thing, it's not healthy, there's enough to deal with at the moment in this stinking world 😢

Totally agree, no one is perfect, it takes nothing to offer a stranger a smile and listen rather than argue with people who have a different opinion than you.

I've noticed people are surrounding themselves more with echo chambers which causes one side bias views that usually get aggressive. I feel the world would be a better place if we all stopped and listened to each other before speaking.

Yes and we're all guilty of it too.
I like to think if I've offended anyone in humour, sarcasm or anything else that we forgive and move on.
None of us should have a cross to bear...

My sister always offends me, we are like chalk and cheese but we carry on regardless, actually I probably offend her too!

Wise words, sadly there are many petty unpleasant people in the world, must be exhausting.

I am of course perfect...here is my pic taken during the Virtual Day threads in April/May...

My posts are mostly humorous, I do try to be as nice as I can as this reflects my kind nature, and more than anything I am aware that what I say on here, could cause anguish and distress.

Not that I am a mental health specialist, but a little bit of civil ‘niceness‘ costs nothing and may help the recipient.

Must run, I need to do some more sit ups and squats.

There's a lot of "playing the man not the ball" on here, which is very sad to see.

I could post the very best vaccine news possible and there's a certain group of people who couldn't possibly bring themselves to give it a thumbs up. Anyone else posting the same will receive a flood of thumbs and effusive replies.

I'm able to recognise that whilst I may disagree with someone on one point, I can agree on many others.

We have far more in common than that which divides us.

We all get that though, including me, I feel alienated sometimes, especially lately.
It's even happening on here now.
It's not nice, so I use humour to make myself feel better ☹️

Wise words. This is where the like facility can be divisive. At the end of the day it’s about choices : whether to engage with individuals or threads or not. Life’s difficult enough without being drawn into different opinions on often irrelevant subject matter. Your last two points are very valid.
