As a midwife I can assure you 33 isn’t old! Women with diabetes usually see a specialist team of a consultant, diabetes nurse/midwife, lots of growth scans throughout from 28 weeks - and usually induction around 37/38 weeks is offered. X

After all your lovely comments, I wanted to give an update... unfortunately things haven’t gone as we hoped and my bloods tests have shown a decline so I will have an early miscarriage. Obviously wasn’t meant to be ☹️ Just so sad we had to go through this and get our hopes up when we had accepted things as they were. I always think things happen for a reason but struggling to use that theory in his case! I know I’m very fortunate though to have a happy marriage and a happy healthy child. And on a positive I can carry on with the planning for our Disney holiday next year 😉
