Things to do near Market Harborough

We are due to have a family holiday/gathering at a barn I've booked for four nights close to Market Harborough. It's eight adults, my Mum is the oldest and gets tired after a bit of walking. I did considered Warwick Castle but it's a bit of a drive and expensive if we aren't there long if Mum tires.
It's a lovely five bedroom five bathroom barn with outdoor space . Maybe just chilling out and doing a Bbq one day would be good, and short walks near by. Any other idea's?

There’s a lovely ice cream place in Market Harborough itself called Gallone’s. You could have a trip there.

Rutland Water and Foxton Locks are nearby for walks. I agree about Warwic Castle, a bit of a waste if your mum can't walk much.

When are you going? There is Wistow Maze which opens 20th July. There are a few gift shops and and a café across the road too.

Thanks for the ideas. Ice cream place sounds good. We go on 6th July to 10th so too early for the maze. We did used to enjoy visiting the one in Cheshire where we live, that would have been good

We’ve hired a barge for the day when we’ve been to stay with friends near by x
