Party size for DAS and Universal assistance

Does anyone know the max party size for the assistance cards? We are traveling with friends this year and have a party of 7. It would be great if the whole party cold stay together for the rides.

I think it is 6, but last time we went there were 7 of us and we asked nicely in guest services when we arranged them and they put us all on👍 also we did have two DSA and they connected us all to both of them which was helpful.

I was told its 6 the person who needs it plus up to 5 others and I'm sure this it to keep the numbers reasonable and stop huge groups applying but quite a few dibber's have reported being able to add additional people at the cast members discretion

Hi I just wanted to add to this, we've just come back from 2 weeks and experienced quite some issues with Universal and their assistance, to quote them "all their lines are fully accessible" and "it's at the discretion of the ride attendant", we had no issue in any other park Disney, Seaworld etc. but Universal were very very unhelpful (even though this wasn't our previous experince in 2016) - I've lodged a complaint on return which they've just tried to fob off, but just wanted to give a heads up.

Without going into detail can you give an idea of the difficulties?
I ask as I have been diagnosed with a disability since my last trip and I can’t stand for long so may need to utilise a chair or ECV depending on whether I’m having a good or bad day.

U will struggle to get an aap with mobility issues.
Its for "mh" issues similar to autism or add.
If ur issues can be "solved" by using an ecv then that will be your "solution"

Both wdw and usf are cutting down on abuse of system

Yeah my husband is registered blind and for obvious reasons struggles with the low light and snaking queues and rides that require you to load as they move. Without going into all the in’s and out’s his issues are made easier by having a return time and a more direct entrance e.g exit queue or fast track (which is available and we did use previous), static versions e.g Harry Potter at IOA stationary bench. Every other Florida theme park and in fact theme parks at home accept this and assist, but Universal nope as a consequence we’re both covered in bruises from bouncing off things and feeling a bit frustrated with Universal.

I do have other conditions as well which should mean I’m okay for DAS at WDW, I’ll be taking my consultant letter with me to prove as such even though I know CM are trained not to ask, but I can see evidence being required soon due to the abuse of the system.
I was specifically asking about US as I’m not familiar with their disability access processes.

Thank you for this, I’m sorry to hear of your frustrations, have you contacted them with your concerns? No assistance at all in those conditions is looking at trouble for the park.

Yes we had a call back last night. Their attitude has been awful, no empathy or understanding and borderline rude. Put simply we will not be spending our hard earned money at or in their parks again. Plus with all the 3D rides they’ve been adding of late, my husband didn’t get much value for money anyway. On a positive the other parks were fantastic Disney, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens couldn’t fault them.
