We are back home tonight and I was shocked with how smoothly the trains ran, actually. We had no problems at Lille at all. Minor confusion on the Lille-DLP train as our seat numbers were consecutive numbers but not actually together on the train, so if we'd been in our assigned seats, the five year old would have been two rows away, no doubt talking non stop in English to a poor unsuspecting French passenger. But as it happened, two other families had the same exact issue with their tickets, so we just shuffled around like musical chairs for a bit until we found something that would work for all small people to not be on their own. But trains themselves were on time and without fuss! Coming back tonight, going through security check at DLP was fine too.

Hope everyone has similar good luck on trips coming up!

Marne le vallee was eerily quiet due to rer not running though. Val d europe rer was shuttered closed yesterday. Uber was brilliant and RS transport on time. Our late evening flight left 10 mins late and arrived 5 mins early.

Unfortunately Edinburgh had 2 passport officers for two full flights from cdg. Incompetent.

Just to report we arrived here and we are grateful we just got here and wasn’t delayed. Our private shuttle service was fab!
RER is running but very restricted times but we have managed. We got the train in and bus back and this morning walked in. Weather is amazing for time of year
Merry Christmas from the land of the Mouse
