I don’t understand this either. Surely that q moves quicker so you are exposed to people for less time.

I believe the thinking is that single rider will be more likely to mix groups together. I.e if you are sat next to someone from the single rider queue on a ride who you don’t know then the virus can spread between groups quicker.

Queuing and riding with your own family/group will reduce this ‘cross contamination’.

It’s a bit of a random one really!

But if you are a rider on your own, you will still be sat next to people you don't know. You just spend longer in the queue with people you don't know first!

Is that a gathering in the parks? Is this a sign they are about to close? I kind of wish if they were going to anyway then they just would do it ASAP and lessen the possibility of spreading Covid. Also people who are due to go can make other plans where possible.

I've also just seen on twitter that Illuminations and the Star Wars Galactic Celebration show have both been cancelled today -- no official confirmation from DLP yet though.

It’s completely understandable why they are doing this but they need to be more supportive and either offering refunds to those who want it or allow to rebook for another time without extra charge. For most people, this is a dream trip and it’s for the kids. You can’t expect people to pay thousands for this and provide half the experience. You may as well go to a UK theme park.
