"Learning French" for my Nephews - A Funny
Howdo,
For a start - lets be very clear that I speak very little French. Im more a visual linguist - "Can I have TWO of THEM..." Ill save my DW the effort by recalling our first trip to DLP. I had gone in to the gift shop to buy some sunglasses (I had forgotten mine from home) a postcard and some stamps. I went to the CM and asked for some stamps, and he politely asked me how many and where to - in French! Well my reaction was the same as any normal British bloke on holiday with his DW... "Mel?, MEL! He's talking French Mel! Help!" Anyhows... We're off again to DLP on Thursday (YAY!) for our 11th trip, but this time we are taking DW's Sister and respective family for their first time. I thought it would be fun therefore to impress my 2 nephews & niece with my French skills and teach them a few of the phrases that DW and I have "interpreted" in our previous travels. This is what I have so far. Please feel free to add any more if you can - lets see if we can create a bit of a daft list. The Yellow Disney Transport Buses "Le Bus de Bend" The Disneyland Railroad "La Puffa Puffa Choo Choo" Space Mountain "Le Mountain avec un Grande Boom Bang" It's A Small World "Le Vallee de Evil Marionettes" 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea "La Submarine avec le Plastique Poissons" Phantom Manor "Le Maison de Spooky Ghoolies" Buzz Lightyears Laser Blast "Voyage à l'infini et à un petit peu" Tower Of Terror "Le Elevator de La Doom" Star Tours "La Simulator avec Le Driver de Paris" Peter Pan's Flight "Obtain un Passage Rapide" Mad Hatters Tea Party "Le Rotation et Jetez vers Le Haut" Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Peril "Le Rattler de La Bones" Big Thunder Mountain "Removez votre La Beret et Le Spectacles" Pirates Of The Caribbean "Le Yo Ho Bateau"

I just hope their French is better than yours! We'll have to see how many they can come up with too!
