How do you all travel there - do you drive to keep cost down?

Always book travel separately, and as early as possible to get cheapest prices. This time we are going by eurostar as it was a good price, I would drive but when you add in petrol, tolls etc it wasnt worth it

yes, the direct Eurostar service didn't have any cheap fares almost as soon as they were released last month. Eurostar seems to have hiked the prices up for both Feb half term and May half term 2013.

Can you go another way? Eurotunnel? Budget flights?

Yes, euro tunnel and a drive, even with tolls, is looking to skim about 400 off that price, so subject to dh getting leave approved, I think we may just go for it

I want to have a look now...I am on maternity leave so it doesn't have to be half term for a change. It's just I know very little about the transport to get there? Is Eurostar the train and euro tunnel where u take the car?

How far ahead can u book euro star? It's not showing anything for march? Xx

Edit- found it Didnt know what price to expect but 239 it a lot compared to paying 414 for 4 nights stay. Is this normal price? Looks like a no no if it's this much x

are you looking on the site from a phone or tablet? Try a laptop - the dates have already been released by Eurostar for the direct London to DLP route up to early Summer next year.
