Completely off topic any idea of a good website for weather forecast for Paris? I'm looking at one site and told rain and another and told sun! I don't expect it will be sunny as we even managed to make it rain out of season in an area of Kenya that had seen no precipitation for three years! But it would nice to know what we are looking for!
Good question, i have been using my iphone and the other day the symbol it had for Glasgow looked like some sort of world ends type thing so i dont think its that accurate! xx

Which leads me to Tip 3 - it's not all burgers and hot dogs! Casey's Corner and Videopolis are known for really slow service, partly because everyone seems to go there! Try some of the other places. Or there's always good old Earl of Sandwich.

Having mentioned Videopolis leads me to...

Tip 4 - Videopolis is a great place to sit and warm up watching cartoons and fraying frazzled nerves. Take some change and you can get cold or hot drinks from the vending machine and avoid the queues.

Tip 5 - meet characters in the hotels (you don't have to be staying there) or at character meals. There are some well organised meet and greets in the parks, but some of them are not so organised!

Tip. 6 - the Christmas stuff! Tree lighting ceremony, Jingle Bell Boys show and the Cavalcade are all wonderful.

Tip 7 - take piccies and write us a trippie when you get back!
Thank you so much for this Gill what a fab list!

I think i have stolen loads of bits from your trippys as well

Can't wait to get my trippy written up be warned all it may be a long one

Oh Gill, following on from your character question is the special Mickey meet a better organised one or is that one to avoid?

Has anyone went to meet Santa in the Christmas village i would love to do it but wondering if two grown adults would look super weird queuing for santa?

If you are staying onsite don't forget to set the alarm using your room telephone, if you have kids let them answer it, gets my DS up and out every morning

Also, if you have it, make good use of EMH, we never do Dumbo after EMH, the queues are ridiculous.

Again, if onsite (only at SF, Cheyenne, SQL or NPBC) then try to get brekkie in the parks if available, that way you don't have to get up so early to get to breakfast and be in the parks for 8am. You can get up and go straight to the parks for 8am and then get breakfast about 9:15am ish, as the parks are filling up, and be out in time to collect your first FP at 10am

If you have young children make use of babyswitch.

If you want to do EMH you won't see the characters in your hotel in the morning, so go into EMH then about 9:30am go out to the Disneyland Hotel and meet the characters outside breakfast there, then back into the park.

Breakfast at DLH is well worth paying for, and if you do it late on you won't need any lunch (we tend to go about 10-10:30am on checkout day), it's the best value meal you will get in DLP, costs the same as a CS meal deal but much more food of far superior quality with service and environment to match.

there are 2 ways to get on Crush faster, the most popular is to be at the gates of WDS about 9:20am, then as soon as they open at 9:30am run for Crush, we have done this and been off the ride by 9:45am once, normally we are off about 10am as they generally open the ride early. The other way is to join the queue a few minutes before park closing, most people don't realise you can join a queue right until park close so the queues get shorter at that time.

Mickey has his own theatre and it's all very well organised there! Tbh the 'scrums' tend to happen when characters get off the little train in the park - and I don't think that is running at the moment. So you'll be fine.

Weird queuing for Santa? No way! No weirder than we looked doing the hula with Stitch!

You know the Inventions lunch doesn't have characters, right? Unless it's the Sunday brunch.

Either way, food is fab. But if you have breakfast at the DLH, don't plan on lunch anywhere. We weren't hungry till about 5pm! So much great food.

I have a list of hints and tips I have put together for friends over the last year or so, I will try edit it and put it up later tonight when the kids are in bed (some advice was very specific to them).
