Motley Fool are saying similar - they are finalising their information & will be e-mailing eligible shareholders hopefully by tomorrow lunchtime at the latest

@A&S&O:

Here's the response I got last week from HL:

"Further to our recent telephone conversation I can confirm that you hold Euro Disney CDIs (Crest Depository Interests) and each CDI represents 1 Euro Disney Share. We are only able to trade Euro Disney CDIs and not the underlying Shares as overseas Shares cannot be settled directly in the UK. These CDIs are held through Euroclear. Unfortunately Euroclear are unable to pass on the voting rights for the CDIs. If you wish to attend a future Euro Disney meeting you will need to contact the company to ask them to agree for you to attend the meeting based on the CDIs that are in the name of Euroclear. Unfortunately we are unable to withdraw the CDIs into a Share certificate, as CDIs cannot be held in certificated form.

As is the case with overseas holdings we are only able to offer Corporate Actions on the holdings if CREST pass the offer through to us. There may be a number of restrictions which mean that CREST are unable to forward a particular offer to UK Retail Investors. If the offer is passed on and Retail Investors are able to take part then we will contact clients accordingly."

It's complicated but is to do with the way they are traded and the fact that ultimately someone else has the voting and options rights.

I have not heard anything to the contrary today about being able to participate and so have made arrangements for the shares to be transferred to another company who will put the shares into my name so in future, I will be on the register and it will allow me to go to AGMs, vote and take part in any further offers made directly by EDL to its shareholders.

I am hoping that there is still a chance that I can take the share option. If not, then I know at least I will be set up for the future.

Thanks for that. We had to use Hargreaves Lansdown for our son's shares as they were the only company that we could find that would allow us to buy on the Paris market on behalf of a child.
I emailed them earlier today, but don't hold out much hope.

I suppose that even if we buy at 1.25 on the open market, it won't make that much difference.

Bit of an update...
Finally heard back from my numerous emails to the shareholder membership team. I can renew my membership as long as I have 100 shares. So thats positive.

My Halifax share dealing account still isn't showing the offer. Its also £3.95 commission day today so I tried to buy them at the current rate of 1.25 and my account wouldn't let me!
I never received a reply to my email yesterday asking my eligibility so rang them just now.
They are waiting for the French to update the system (he went a bit technical but I think thats what he meant!)
He said everyones accounts should be updated today or tomorrow - when the commission goes back up to £12.95!

Here's the response I've just got from HL -

"I can confirm that although a rights issue has been announced for Euro Disney S.C.A. (EDL) we have yet to have the details confirmed to us. Once the details have been made available to us we will contact all clients who hold this stock with details of the rights issue and what action is required from clients."

Just like Halifax, we'll just have to wait and see!

Still no news from Halifax or Hargreaves Lansdowne on how to buy, or even if we can buy the new issue of shares.

Just been on live chat to halifax who say the information will be online by the end of the day which will allow you to choose what you want to do.

To me that suggests all halifax customers are able to buy more but we will see.

Typical that it's 1 day after the discount dealing day. 😒
