Disneyland - hopper or base ticket?

Hi all

We have 3 days in Disneyland California at the end of October. Just trying to save a little where I can and am torn as to whether to go for a 3-day Park hopper ticket (with MaxPass) or 3-day 1-park per day ticket (with MaxPass).

The obvious plan is one day at Disneyland, one day at California Adventure and day 3 would be a combination of the 2. It seems a waste of a hopper just for day 3 but it will also depend on what we manage to get done and need to finish off at both parks.

For the 3 of us there is $132.22 difference in the ticket options.

Any advise given all the above as well as the daily MaxPass cost is going up soon?

We went last Easter and had a three day hopper which we found to be great. However we didn’t get Max Passes we just used the old style FP system and did all the rides we wanted. We got to each park at rope drop and grabbed the headliners as soon as we got in. We managed to ride radiator spring twice and the incredicoaster 5 times.

We have had the same dilemma but decided in the end to do one park tickets as the money saved helps pay for the max passes. When we went in 2017 we bought the park hopper passes but didn’t really need to use them. Would have been happy to stay in one park per day and totally focus on it, as there was so much to do. After the 4 days we still felt that we could’ve stayed longer in each park so this time thought better of it.
