Air b and b?

Hi anyone booked through this website is it secured I am looking as the villa are in our price range

We’ve booked Airbnb In New York, Washington & Donegal and all have been great.

We’ve an Airbnb apartment at The Enclave Suits booked for October, it’s costing half the price of booking direct. Reviews have been mixed but we’re not looking (or paying) for the Ritz so it’ll be fine... I’m sure 😉.

Sorry in answer to your question, so long as you make payment via the Airbnb website it’s safe & secure, walk away if the owner suggests making payment direct to them via bank transfer.

I used Air bnb this year for the first time and booked a villa advertised as 'next to the 7th hole' on a golf course. Turns out the course closed 15 months previously but the owner refused to refund 100% of my payment. Got on to Air bnb who took up my case and had a full refund within a couple of hours.

We booked with Airbnb for a house in Japan and then Japan changed all their leasing rules and we couldn’t stay there. Of course, by the time this happened, prices were double what we paid as hundreds of apartments were affected. Airbnb refunded the amount we paid plus gave us as compensation the same amount (£1100 ish) that we paid.

The only problem I have with Airbnb is that it’s impossible to speak to anyone who is important enough to make decisions as in a manager. Once you do though, they seem pretty good at putting things right. (Or at least they did for us).

I have used airbnb for a cottage in atlanta, and have no issues with using them again.

I’ve booked Sicily and Venice through Airbnb . What I’ve found is it brought up more choice for us in Europe than searching loads of sites .
