Getting magic bands to the UK
Hi everyone,
We will be visiting next summer. We are only going to Magic Kingdom for 1 day so I know magic bands are not really needed but my little girl is keen on having them, just for the novelty of wearing them and as a souvenir. Am I right in thinking that it's just the shipping of them to the UK that's the problem? not the linking/using etc? We know people going this year and thought about giving them money before they go, so that they can buy and bring back for us. |

You’re right that Disney doesn’t ship the MagicBands to the UK. So you either have to buy them from a thirdparty on, say, eBay (or somewhere else) or get someone to buy one for you and bring it back to the UK. Or, of course, buy one when you are over in Orlando.
Linking and using them shouldn’t be a problem.

That would work. Or she could go into the shops in MK, see the massive range and choose one for herself? You could do that as soon as you get in, so you’d only miss out on using the magic band for the gate admission. You can link them in seconds on the MDE app.

If you can go to Disney Springs before visiting the park there is a store that has a wide range of magic bands, so she could choose which one she wants.
We brought one back for my sister in law last year that I will link to My Disney Experience when she comes back out with us in 2021.

I ordered from the US Disney Store, and they were delivered to the My US post box I have (it's like a storage box) and then I had them shipped over to me. It's not the cheapest way to do it, but they we're for my parents who have no idea how to use them or set them up. We have our own bands from October which I also ordered from the US Disney Store and had them delivered to a friends in Arkansas and she shipped them over for me.

You can buy them in the park and the cast member will link it to your account if you don't know how to and you can pick what band you want from a bigger choice.
