Interesting! Agree it sounds like an in between DDP and DXDP!

Yes I think it does, in which case it would be ideal for me too. I have the deluxe plan in April as I don’t like QS, but it is a bit too much.

Yes I agree with Claudette. People find the dining plan good for different reasons... for us, dd is 8 so we still want to experience plenty of character meals and the free dining plan allows us to do so without constantly adding up our spends. If we are lucky enough to return again when dd is older, I think we’ll go for qsdp and just pay for a few meals oop.

I suppose we will know more after the 28th but I wonder if it effect those on the DDP this year?
Also, a big perk of staying at a deluxe hotel is that you get the DDP rather than QS. Will the moderates still only offer QS and you pay extra for DDP plus?
I wonder if this will replace the DDP altogether !?
I also wonder how the CM will work it out. Currently the credits state TS & QS will this change?

I am easily confused lol
Can’t wait for more details, I hate guess work

This is interesting, many thanks OP.
I always end up with QS left over but DXDP too expensive and way too much food.
It will be good to see how this works.
... another one waiting with crossed fingers for April!

This sounds really good. As a family we really love TS meals (it's our "rest" or "down" time.) On our most recent trip we converted a lot of QS credits to snacks to bring home, but could happily have done one or two more TS or a couple more signatures which it sounds like this new plan would allow.

I'm also intrigued as to whether it will eventually replace the current DDP altogether - at a higher cost obviously, so would suit Disney!

They'll work in the system in the same way as Deluxe credits at the moment - so they can be redeemed against either QS or TS - the current system already has snacks, child and adult QS, child and adult TS and child and adult deluxe.

I’ve been saying for years they needed a dining plan in between DDP and DxDDP where the meal credits were interchangeable. I’m assuming a bigger upgrade cost from QSDP and some sort of upgrade from DDP price so it won’tbe for us this year but maybe next year if free dining continues.
