Going on honeymoon
Calling all experienced honeymooners!
We're off to New York for 5 nights and Orlando for 11 nights to chill out at the end - can't wait, I've never been to New York! What's the "deal" when you're on honeymoon? Are you supposed to tell people in restaurants etc and milk it for all it's worth? Personally I would be a little embarrassed to do this. |

Oh congratulations on your choice of destination for your honeymoon We made sure that honeymoon was on our reservation for hotels etc other than that we didn't really make a point of telling anyone. Best bet for while in WDW is to get the Minnie and Mickey hats for Bride and Groom, that may give people a big clue without actually saying anything The one thing I did do was ask if there was a complimenatry upgrade with VA, when we got to the Clubhouse lounge, as we were on honeymoon and we got it
Have a lovely time. Claire |

Since when was Orlando not in Florida? I put this in DIBBing because I was asking for people's general viewpoint, not specific things to do or places to go.
I haven't added my thoughts to the recent discussions re the forums as, on the whole, I agreed with most of what Stu proposed. However I'm starting to appreciate how the other viewpoint feels. Thanks for your good wishes Claire. |

I am also rather puzzled Nic. Why is this not on the Florida board?
Many congratulations on your forthcoming wedding and honeymoon. You will have a ball! |

We went on our 15th wedding anniversary last year and although we didn't mention it everytime we ate, we did mention it on our PS at California Grill (on the actual day) and got a window seat right at the corner of the restaurat to watch wishes from.
As it is your honeymoon, I would certainly get it noted on all your bookings and mention it at check-in's etc. The American's certainly are not shy in mentioning special celebrations. The best advice is to expect exactly what you've paid for and look on anything else as a bonus. |
