Just Booked Holiday, what should i do?

Hi Guys,

Just booked some holiday off work to go back to florida next year, 17th April until 4th May, but my girlfriend is worried about the busy parks around this time, being easter?

Has anyone been around this time of year? What should we do? I can only have these dates off work as i work shifts, if i was to leave it for the next full couple of weeks i have off it would be around June/Jully time, and i dont want to go when the parks are that busy. Plus its more expensive!

hi matty first things first if you do plenty of planning then you should be ok do you have any children? if not then it shouldn't be that bad as you can stay in the parks till late (easter this year they stayed open some nights till midnight) do your research and find out which days are the busiest in the parks and avoid them. how about visiting the shops or having a rest day on a weekend as the parks are really busy then. if you are staying on disney property then check out which days are early opening for the parks. above all have fun planning

You fly out on Easter Monday so I would expect itto be busier til that weekend then things should get a bit quiter - well I hope so cos we go on the 18th

We've been twice before at this time of year and have had good weather and no problems with crowds

After Easter it should get quieter...though we were there from April 22nd till May 13th this year and we were quite surprised at how busy our first week was...so many different times for different districts having their Spring break... We'll be there next yr on April 27th for 3 weeks...where you staying Matty?

Don't worry, Matty, once Easter weekend is past the parks should quieten down as most of the Spring Breakers have gone too. Our last trip was over Easter and although not the quietest time to go, the weather was lovely with only one wet day in 3 weeks. With a bit of planning you can avoid the crowds and lines and I would not hesitate to go at that time again.
Happy planning!

Thanks for the replies we are hoping to stay at CSR travelling with Virgin. We went in May this year with TCD and it cost just as much but this time we get car hire for under 25's.

We've got the same problem we've booked 4th-19th April, which will be very busy by what we've been reading but when we had to fit in with what time of year our friends we are going with could go, going when it's a bit cooler for doing a lot of walking with the kids but still decent weather, work, school, getting a decent price etc. we booked it - we just plan to be up early and plan when to go to which park on what should be not so busy
days and on very busy days laze by the pool, which the kids will love anyway or shop, shop and shop!
