Good luck I look forward to seeing how you get on. Your extended mini break via Dublin did make me chuckle! Ingenious planning skills there!

On our way back from Manchester (slowly!) After a good but slightly chaotic day.
Took us longer to get here than planned but we got to Sea life by 12.15. Really busy & it was pre-booked or annual passes only. We've been here before & it's not our favourite but is nice enough, the turtles in the viewing tunnel were the best bit for all of us. Out by 1.30 so quick walk over to the incredibly busy Trafford centre food court where we ended up with a McDonalds as it was the only place with a moving queue. Back over to the discovery centre for some lego fun, you have to reserve a time slot for here online now which used to be optional but they've took away the £1pp booking charge so I'm happy with that. It started off mega busy but got quieter as the afternoon went. James loves it here, I would happily never go but it's always nice to watch him enjoy himself. Zoe obviously not so keen but was happy with a Costa & WiFi, she ended up helping the master builder organise kids for this mosaic they're doing & helped James build his car for the race track Finally escaped at 5ish but sat nav is saying we won't be home until 7.30, silly traffic. Fingers crossed we make it back a bit quicker x |

Good luck with the challenge, we did 20 Merlin attractions last year (would have been 21 but Jurassic Skyline in Weymouth had closed down)

Thanks
Have just booked accommodation for Blackpool in October half term & off to look for somewhere to stay in the summer to do the London attractions. Airbnb is throwing up some shocking prices so may need a re-think! |
