Passport question

I'm going to WDW in June. At the moment, I don't have a passport - it expired last August. I'm planning to send the new application in within next couple of weeks. What has been your experience with recent applications in terms of new passport being delivered? If necessary, I'll just go and sit at the passport office and pay the extra for fast track service, but I'm hoping for reports of new passports being delivered within a decent time frame. Thanks in advance.

My son’s took 2 weeks last Summer. Used the Post Office ‘check it for you and submit’ service. No issues at all.

It has been running pretty quick for the last few years, taking about a week. Still I would apply now, as you never know when that might change.

I found the same. Doing the photos was easy too. I'd always do it online now.

Blimey, that's quick. I know they charge extra for the checking service - I think it's about £15. Sounds worth it.

You do not get the passport quicker if you use this service. It goes to the passport office in just the same way. The post office are not 100% accurate with their checking and passports have been rejected.

The check and send service is just the same as sending it by post. Online is the quickest way.

I'm sure I saw someone the other day say it only took 1-2 days recently.

I would get it done sooner rather than later though. What are you doing to do if your Esta doesnt get approved. You will need to apply to US embassy for a visa which takes time.
