I'm like you, your DH can go with mine in that case

It’s nothing like the found footage film type like the films Blair witch or Cloverfield. My wife can’t watch films like that but she had no problem with this film.

I cant even bear it when its done on tv for the shortest of times, they do it in eastenders sometimes, for dramatic effect I think, its very slight but it makes me feel so ill. I cant watch home videos either. Think i will keep away, thanks for the advice

To be honest if it was a truthful portrayal of the trenches then they were pretty civilised. Never rained no one got wet nice summers day under a tree. So basically a nice grassy field right behind the front line, if anyone has been to a concert venue where 1000s of boots tramp the grass I doubt if there would be grassy fields and trees still standing.

Also an orderly pull out by the Germans yet rotting German bodies lying around behind their front line ?

What about the scene in the town completely on fire yet a couple of druckards having a few beers.

I thought most of it was meh...

I think Once apon a time and Joker will get most with Judy picking up best actress Zellweger was fantastic...

The story was set over an 8 hour period, even we have some dry spells in the year. It was one building on fire, all be it a large one. I guess it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

i havnt seen it yet but its all set over one day ? maybe a summers day?

also when retreating i'm not sure its usual to 'waste' time retrieving your dead/rotting comrades then having the task of burying them in the height of war?

as i say havnt seen it so only assumptions

I am going this afternoon, that’s why I read this thread. I don’t normally watch was films.
I only agreed to go as DH wants to see the film, I am now dreading going as I think the wobbly camera bits will make me feel yucky.

It’s no more “wobbly” than any other action film.
