What’s wrong guys?

Not saying I don’t have opinions because I do and in the past have probably gone over board, but come on every thread is turning into arguments, next some will be typing in capitals ( shouting), just remember why where here our joint love of all things Florida.

I get what you mean. But to be honest I just avoid some threads now.

I am one of the 3 or 4 "bleeding hearts liberals" on here - I am happy to "own" my label. We get ripped to shreds left and right but generally I find that if a point is put politely, then most responses are polite.

My tactics are - If it gets heated I simply leave the thread.
- I place "ignore" on some users
- and have reported a few posts that go over the edge to personal abuse.

Unfortunately it is the way of most forums nowadays. You can often tell which forum is currently recommending the Dibb as a place for all things Disney by the tone of new users' postings.

It has got a bit shouty, preachy and sweary recently. So I'm guessing mumsnet has had a thread or 2 recommending us...

I stick to the important threads. Its all about hints and tips, nice groups and trip reports forme.

I know that threads which comment on how people post will get closed sooner rather than later. However that doesn't solve the problem. I too have complained about individual posts and to give the mods their dues the posts in the vast majority of cases have been removed. I know that that is the correct process. What I find more difficult is that recently about two members cannot just post their views they feel the need to stay on the thread and attack others who disagree. They then take that attack onto other threads involving the same people. I personally find the ignore functionality to be useful.

I totally agree, I even thought of leaving this site altogether because of it but couldn't find a button to remove me. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed some of the nastiness
