Plastic straws

Not sure if this is the right section but do the all star resorts do plastic straws still or are they paper (yuk) if so I’ll take my own thanks

Did not go to All Star Resort, but there was not a plastic straw in sight on property during our January visit.

As far as I know WDW has made the move completely to no plastic straws on property (except specially requested, as when required for disability).

I brought my own metal ones in Feb, but we never used them because I kept forgetting to get them out. I just used paper. I will still bring my collapsible metal one in Nov.

Animal join the party and start to help the world. Some of these plastics take 450 years to biodegrade . So every bit of plastic ever made is being stuffed in land fill etc.

I’m struggling to think of anywhere that still had plastic straws (thank god as my 13 year old autistic son starts shouting ‘turtle killers’ at the top of his voice if he spots one) paper everywhere I can think of so if you don’t like them definitely take your own.

I really can’t use paper straws as I can’t bear the feel of them in my mouth. We’ve bought silicone straws that squash into a little pod for this years trip that I’ll be using.

Oh I was not taking plastic ones I have a folding metal one but keep forgetting it and I have the feel of paper one also so I’ll be looking for ones I can keep on a key ring or silicone one

I'm the same, cant stand the feel of paper ones in my mouth, especially when drinking a shake or a slushy, they just disintegrate, I've bought us silicone ones for this year that we can wash out after.

We still have box full of plastic ones from when our son was small.
I now take a few over when I go.
