Not sure how they are going to fix it ! But they will have to for pcsps (civil service) NHS, police, mod, firefighters, judiciary etc in time.

I work for a Fire Authority and am the Pensions Officer there. You can imagine the headache Sargeant/McCloud is giving me as the ruling has been made but the actual remedy is a minefield and Home Office haven't published anything official with regards to that. There is also a separate case connected with the buy back of retained service so there is no danger of me getting bored over the next few years!

I only just found out that this has gone out to consultation on gov.uk.

Closing date 11 October. Some big decisions to be made by all individuals impacted.
