How to get on Star Wars rides?

If you manage to get a boarding group, when you get called, is there then much of a queue?

I was in the park to get a boarding pass this morning.
People around me were getting one but all I got was it's closed. Eventually got 107 and they are on 99 at 4.30

It can still take up to an hour depending on how many other people turn up when your boarding group is called. You usually get a two slot but it could be an hour. You do not need to stay in the park once you have a boarding group, we even made rope drop at Epcot and Magic Kingdom on two occasions

I had an hour to get back to the ride yesterday, went through at 5.30 and was walking through the queue area for 15 minutes. I was off the ride at 6.10

However you could be queuing for longer but I think the whole point of this system is so people aren't queuing for long

Well, there are various parts regarding a "Star Wars fix":

He may, or may not, manage to get a boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance. It depends on whether he gets to the park before park opening and is quick in accessing the app on his phone. He's got just as good a chance of getting on this ride as anyone else.

He probably won't manage to get a fastpass for Smuggler's Run. But he could be lucky. Otherwise, he can join the standby queue and wait. The current standby wait is around 90 minutes.

He will be able to enter Galaxy's Edge and have a look around the land, go into the shops, and the like.

And he should be able to get a fastpass for Star Tours.

So he'll still get something of a Star Wars fix.

We were there Saturday before last. Boarding passes went in 34 seconds of being released at 8.00am. We were at the gates at 6.00am, and it was packed let in at 7.00 and were lucky to get a boarding pass at 8.00
